you see its funny because children with allergies are an inconvenience

hahaha

(idgi tho y is this funny)

I think it’s just funny in a not-so-serious kind of way. He’s giving you the ability to laugh at things that aren’t supposed to be funny, which is how he’s carved out his own little niche in comedy. I know a lot of comedians do this so he’s not really that different, but a lot of times his comedy bits are profound. For instance:

“It doesn’t have any effect on your life. What do you care?! People try to talk about it like it’s a social issue. Like when you see someone stand up on a talk show and say, “How am I supposed to explain to my children that two men are getting married?… I dunno. It’s your shitty kid. You fuckin’ tell ‘em. Why is that anyone else’s problem? Two guys are in LOVE and they can’t get married because you don’t want to talk to your ugly child for five fuckin’ minutes?”

It’s obviously still rude and offensive but in a way that really makes you think. Granted there’s nothing in the above comedy bit that really makes you think, but it’s kinda one of those things where you weigh out the good against the bad to decide on whether or not you really like someone.

Seeing this particular bit made me a little sad and wonder about Louis, but in the end he makes a lot of sense about a lot of things that are wrong with this world.

Just in case it wasn’t clear I don’t like this bit and don’t agree with it. But I still like Louis, C.K. overall.

This is stuff I usually shy away from but I found this interesting. I understand what the undertone is here: humans are so far removed from nature that someone that should die based on natural selection is being preserved. It’s not saying that they should die right now and are unworthy, but it does make you think how far we are removed from the process of natural selection.

You are right though, Lewis C.K. does have some moments where he can be crass but overall he is a good comedian.

and now I’m left thinking everything he says is profound in some way I’m just not always able to pick up on it through the crassness

favorite comedian.

idk I think this is funny as fuck because it’s mad true

if you’re offended you probably have a nut allergy and realize that two hundred years ago you would be dead rn

Were people forced to eat nuts against their will in 1813? Why would they probably be dead, they just have to not eat nuts after having a reaction the first time and realizing it’s bad for them. People who don’t have any nut allergies can still have kids that are allergic to nuts so the  natural selection point isn’t really that sound. If that were true then people with nut allergies would have all died out a long time ago. I think Lewis C.K. is pretty funny but this joke isn’t as deep as you people are making it out to be.

because nut allergy awareness and allergy shots and EpiPens please don’t act like treatment of nut allergies in 2013 and the probable lack of treatment of allergies in 1813 are the same

The nine circles of hell from Dante’s Inferno recreated in Lego by Mihai Mihu

I. LIMBO: A place of monotony, here the souls are punished to wander in restless existence while they moan helplessly in echoes between the ruins of a temple.

II. LUST: Surrounded by erotic representations, those overcome by lust are forced to watch and experience disgusting things, ultimately being condemned to drown in the menstrual river.

III. GLUTTONY: The circle itself is a living abomination, a hellish digestive system revealing horrific faces with mouths ready to devour the gluttons over and over for eternity.

IV. GREED: This pompous place is reserved for the punishment of the greedy ones.

V. ANGER: In this depressing place the souls are trapped in the swamp, they can’t move and they cannot manifest their frustration which is making them even more angry.

VI. HERESY: The giant demon watches closely over his fire pit, dwarfing the damned that are dragging the new arrivals in the boiling lava. Those who committed the greatest sins against God are getting a special treatment inside the temple where they are doomed to burn for eternity in the scorching flames.

VII. VIOLENCE: A place of intense torture where the horrific screams of the damned are eternally accompanied by the hellish beats of drums.

VIII. FRAUD: In Fraud the Demons enjoy altering the shape of souls, this is how they feed.

IX. TREACHERY: Lucifer lies here chained by the Angelic Seal which keeps him captive in the frozen environment.
